5.1.3. Device Management

Device management spans two pages of device status detailed information:

  • Battery
  • Coils
  • Atrial lead
  • RV lead
  • LV lead
  • Leads implanted
  • P Wave Amplitude distribution
  • R Wave Amplitude distribution
  • Alert parameters setting
Battery
Battery status covers the following data:
  • Last Battery voltage measurement and date of measurement
  • Last Max Energy Charge can be either a capacitor reforming or a max energy shock applied:
    • date charged
    • energy stored at the beginning of charging
    • energy stored at the end of charging
    • charge time
  • Battery curve: where Recommended Replacement Time (RRT)* and End of Service (EOS)* values are reported.

*: corresponds to the previously used Elective Replacement Indicator (ERI) / End of Life (EOL).

Leads and Coils
Leads and coils sub sections report the same data available in the device management summary.
Notes for each display:
  • if the impedance measurement is out of the programmed normal range, the value will be highlighted
    • ≤200 or >3000 ohms indicate values outside the range 200 – 3000 ohms instead of exact values
  • the measurement date is added when available
Threshold and Output values will be displayed in grey if the last saved value during a clinic visit.
Atrial Lead
Atrial lead sub section presents the following last saved data:
  • P Waves (mV) performed beat to beat in millivolts
    • Value: measured amplitude
    • Measured on: date
  • Threshold (V and ms): the last saved pacing threshold value in Volts and milliseconds
    • Value: measured amplitude
    • Measured on: date
  • Output (V and ms): programmed atrial channel output in Volts and milliseconds
  • Impedance (ohms): the last impedance measurements (performed every six hours)

Graphs plotted by the daily mean value:

  • Detection: 6 month trend of P Wave amplitude
  • Impedance: 6 month trend of atrial lead impedance
RV Lead
RV lead sub section presents the following last saved data:

    • Charge Time (s) in seconds
    • Energy (J): energy programmed and delivered in joules

Graph plotted by the daily mean value:

  • coil continuity trend: 6 month trend of coils according to the following ranges:
    • ≤200 ohms: abnormal

Leads Implanted
Provides the list of implanted leads and coils like they are entered on the programmer's patient screen.

The following information is captured for each lead:

  • Manufacturer
  • Model
  • Serial Number
  • Implant on: date
P & R Wave Amplitude Distribution
This section consists of 5 histograms reporting the distribution of atrial and ventricular wave amplitude measured beat to beat:
  • Graphs report the total number of cycles counted and the programmed sensitivity (red bar) for the corresponding channel:
    • Sinus P waves: recorded during the last 2 months
    • A detection in Mode Switch: recorded during the last 2 months
    • R waves: recorded since previous in clinic visit
    • R waves during VT: recorded since previous in clinic visit
    • R waves during VF: recorded since previous in clinic visit
Alert Parameters
Shows the list of all alert conditions that can trigger alert transmissions according to their alert activation status the programmed values for programmable parameters.
  • Alert conditions can be turned ON or OFF in order to trigger Alert transmissions
  • Parameters are set in the programmer during a clinic follow up
  • Regardless of the ON/OFF setting, detected alerts will be displayed in the Warnings section of the report.
